Rims Engineering is a small family business specialising in the repair and overhaul of Automatic and Manual transmissions. Established in 1970 we have built up a strong customer base of local garage trade and private clients. Our policy is to offer value for money and customer satisfaction.
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Automatic Transmissions: We offer repairs and full overhauls of all makes of automatics, from the older two and three speed gearboxes up to the latest electronically controlled five speed units. A fitting service is always available. We have the latest electronic equipment to enable us to run diagnostic checks on most transmissions.
Constantly Variable Transmissions (CVT/ECVT): The latest electronically controlled and hydro-mechanical variable ratio transmissions now fitted to many Fords, Rovers, Nissans, Hondas, Fiats and Volvos are also part of our remit.
Manual Gearboxes: We repair or rebuild manual gearboxes and overdrives for all makes of vehicle including light commercial units and some classic cars.
Clutches: All clutch kits are of the highest quality.
